More pictures

So, we've been busy lately. We had lots of great friends come over and help us pour a slab in our backyard. It's been so much nicer hanging out back there since it's been done. It really helps keep the dust out. Sean's been busy finishing some details around here but it seems like we will never be done with this house. I guess that's what being a homeowner is all about. David can sit really well now and we are encouraging him to start crawling. He is so used to us all giving him whatever toy he is interested in. He's learned he doesn't have to try to get around to find what he wants. The big boys are big boys. They just keep getting bigger and smarter.

Halloween

Halloween was a weeklong celebration this year. The kids got to dress up 2 weekends in a row and eat more candy than they had eaten in their entire lives leading up to this point. Yes, they had lots of fun. Yes, Sean and I are glad it's over.

Fall is here!!!

So, it's been a while now. Christopher did well at his swim lessons. He got to have a private lesson the last time since he was the only kid who showed up. The pool was so cold he only made it for 20 minutes but he had fun. Life is good. Grandma and Grandpa were just visiting from Oregon so we had a great time visiting with them. We went to the circus and the boys got to ride an elephant with Grandma. It was fun watching but I was so obsessed with making the camera work that I missed out on most of it. I got one picture to turn out and you can't even see that they are on an elephant. I haven't put those pictures in the computer yet so it'll have to wait.

It's still super hot here and the kiddie pool is closed for the summer. I am going to get Christopher signed up for big boy swim lessons on Monday. I am really excited. Christopher wavers between excited and scared to be in the deep big pool. I have been trying to make him understand that he won't be in the deep end but you know how wild a three year olds imagination can be.
We just got two mesquite trees for the front yard today. They are really nice and big. Thank you Raymond for getting us a sweet deal!!
David is learning to sit by himself. He is doing great but I wouldn't leave him alone on a hard surface yet. He has such a sunny personality. He wakes up with a smile and is always ready to play. I think he may be the sweetest little baby ever.
Jake is doing great with the potty training. He can say his ABC's now too.

Christopher can identify all the letters now and he knows his ABC's, he just never wants to sing the song. I guess both the big boys are strong willed.

Jake's Party

Jake's party was so much fun!!! He had 4 friends come over and they played like crazy outside. It was so cute to see so many little boys here. I haven't been as good about posting as I've wanted to be so I have lots of pictures to add.

Happy Birthday to Jake!!

So, now it's been a really long time but I haven't given up yet! My birthday went well. It was nice and quiet and I had yummy cake. Jake is excited about his birthday. He's been talking about it since we went to Silas's party. We are giving him the sweetest trike. I'll post pictures so you all can see. It's the chopper of trikes.
Has anything exciting happened lately? My mind is coming up blank. Swimming, children's museum.....
We've been busy keeping busy.

2 Weeks Already!?!?!

Somehow 2 weeks have gone by since I've posted. In those 2 weeks we have been sick, had 3 cavities filled, had a trip to the ER and David slept though the night.

Sean let me sleep in on Saturday. (I know, he is the best!!) When I got up, the boys were all in the bathroom. All I could hear was Jake whining at the top of his lungs, "Wipe brothers butt" over and over. He was not going to give up. I think that is the strangest thing I have ever heard a kid throw a fit about. I'm sure I'll hear stranger though as time goes on.

Sean took a long weekend so we went to Breakers water park on Friday morning and then McDonald's with the play land for lunch. It was a super fun day. The kids love having their daddy around and so do I.

Christopher got 3 fillings taken care of last Tuesday. He was a really good boy for the dentist.
We had to take Jake to the ER on Saturday because he dislocated his elbow. Apparently it's pretty common. The doctor showed us how to pop it back in, in case it happens again.

David slept last night forever!!!! I think he fell asleep about 7:30 and didn't wake up until about 5:30. It was glorious!!! I woke up feeling so much better. I have been sick for about a week but Christopher has been sick for even longer. Jake got it too but he is so tough. He doesn't act sick ever so I'm glad Sean noticed he was burning up. His fever was like 104 and he didn't want to stop playing outside.

Things have been pretty good for us lately all in all. It's been so nice having Sean around.

Fathers Day

Fathers Day was great!!!! The tradition at church is for all the dads to wear their favorite jersey on Fathers Day. Sean asked if we could have Team Bloom jerseys. I made us all shirts and we had lots of fun wearing them. We went out for lunch after church and the boys did so good.

David's First Laugh

David had his first laugh this morning. We don't know what he was laughing about because he was asleep! He fell asleep in bed with me while he was nursing. Just as Sean was walking back into the bedroom, we both heard David laugh this super cute belly giggle. I bet we'll be trying all day to get him to do it again. Sean thinks he was laughing because God told him a joke.

Keeping up

So....not much new around here. We have an appointment at the Picture People tomorrow evening. So of course, Jake fell on the sidewalk today and got a big red mark on his forehead. It never fails to happen. I found these goofy pictures of the boys and thought I'd post them. Sean is working with Team Bloom to get the toys picked up for the night. I guess I better join the game and change David's diaper. I think it's about full now.

Here We Go

I decided it's about time we joined the modern age and got a blog going. This way I don't have to be responsible for emailing pictures all the time.
And now for the family update...
Jake is getting the hang of using his potty. He uses it all the time if he doesn't have pants on and most of the time if he does have pants on. I finally figured out a way to get him to use the public potties. He was afraid to sit up so high so Sean taught me to have him stand on my feet and lift up my toes.
David is growing and doing well. As of May 5th, he was 9 pounds 7 ounces. I bet he's well over 10 pounds now. He is getting really interactive when he is awake now. He's getting somewhat into a routine so we've been enjoying his awake time more and more.
Christopher is enjoying being a big brother. He and Jake are always helping out with David. They sit with me while I nurse and nurse their own stuffed animal babies too.
Sean and I are both doing well. Nothing much to report.
